NFL 2K1 was awesome. NHL 2k was probably the best sports game I ever played.

Luigi's Haunted Mansion was easily the greatest Gamecube game, and I'm not a big fan of platformers. LHM was tits, though.

I loved that game, but it wasn't my favorite Gamecube game.

The Metroid games and Mario Sunshine were games I played the shite out of.

I wish I could see how many hours I put into this game. I might start a new file.

Metroid prime was one of the more fun games I've ever played. Plus I had a disk which had ocarina of time, majora's mask, The legend of zelda, and A link to the past all on one disk. Windwaker was pretty damn fun as well. I loved the gamecube.

N64, if just for Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. I actually liked the controller too.

Dream cast was a great system. Nobody mentioned virtuatennis which was a phenomenal sports game for it.

Dreamcast was cool, I liked how you could play basic games on the controller.

Saturn was way more fun than Dreamcast.

Jaguar was the first 3D console and was way ahead of its time.

they released it in two colors: black and purple

luckily, I was able to pick up a black one when they launched

Gamcube has such a great selection of exclusive games

Metroid Prime
Mario Kart
Mario Sunshine
Wind Waker
Smash Bros
twilight princess
Luigi's mansion

those are the main ones I can remember and even if they only had half that list It would still justify buying the system (for me anyway)

not to mention all the great games that were ported or re-released onto it. And pretty much all of those games were better and improved from their original releases.

Totally agree i still play Zelda: the wind waker today, fricking love that game. Not to mention they had exclusive rights to the resident evil games at the time. Metroid Prime 1 and 2.

yea but they were pushing the purple one on consumers, plus there main logo was purple and they had tiny discs and couldn't play dvd's. Nintendo could of easily won that generation of gaming if they had better marketing

I'd say it would be the gamecube, that thing was awesome and a bunch of people thought of it as a joke.

It was the most powerful console of the generation and got no love. Everyone bitches at the Wii for being so underpowered, well Nintendo tried the pure power console and it didn't work.

My main was in the lower 100s. Never played online, but used to have a blast playing splitscreen co-op with buddies. I've logged hundreds of hours into that game.

I played on the gamecube port, never on dreamcast.

If you are interested, Sega has released a sequel that is F2P. Out in Japan right now, will be ported to NA in early 2013.
