Without using Google, it is just north of Baltimore. I lived in Bowie, MD, while stationed up there. Aberdeen Proving Grounds and Fort Meade are in that area. If I never lived up there, I would have been hard pressed to tell you where it was.

I was a student '78-'82, and I know exactly where Towson is. Tweet is BS. It is located just north of Baltimore. About an hour from where I live.

And for those BS comments regarding higher intellect at Towson than LSU, Towson is where you go if you can't get in to a real university in Maryland. A bit of an embarrassment here if you have to attend school there.
