I absolutely love Amy Acker as an actress... even if she was in joss' 2 worst series... she practically carried dollhouse for a whole season.. she is a great addition to the bad robot cast.

The point being... I hope she stays around for much, much longer... maybe even become an ally... would very much work for a jj show.

So yeah, the dog scene proved to me once again why this show is so amazing..

Dog scene followed by the guy thrown through the window was awesome!

Yes, it was great.

Episode as a whole was fantastic. I love how Reese is still able to interact with the machine, and how the machine is becoming one of the characters.

He got a pretty good chunk of screen time. Just not much character interaction. I'm wondering how long he'll be off with Root. One of the best parts of the show is the dynamic between Reese and Finch. They don't need to disrupt that too much.

I do wonder if the show is really changing directions from the first season and becoming more serialized and less procedural. I like the balance the first season had between the two even if it was more procedural.

I've seen every episode but the summer hiatus must have gotten to me . . . who was the guy that took the needle to the neck at the end of the show?

Root may be nice, but I need some more Zoe!

He was tied to that woman, but I think Root mentioned that she was having an affair, so I assumed it was her boyfriend. After a little digging, the character was Denton Weeks and he was the supervisor to the woman that was killed by Root at the end of last season. Thus, he also knows about the machine since he was involved in the earlier negotiations with Finch's business partner.

Yes, he was one of the guys on the phone that was mysterious. He was also cheating on his wife with the woman in the restaurant. Root knew the connection, Finch saw it once it had played out, making the whole scene that much stronger when right after killing him she said, "I don't want to control the machine, I want to release it"

ETA: All the connections are falling into place, this season is going to be about the machine - I have a feeling Finch will be "saved" by mid-season, but Root is definitely getting away, I have a feeling she stays around for the life of this show..

ETAA: I also think Elias makes a "break" for it now that John is "away".. this will lead to more story as well.

Elias would have to get out of Prison.

But hey, that's doable for a TV show.

Good episode. Not sure of Root's end game. Is she hoping for Skynet?

also, at Reese with the Dog, and the Fusco Gag Order joke ("Not a word! I'm going to my car to complete silence.")

We know he still has people loyal too him on the inside, they set the bomb for mob after he was already incarcerated.. and they gave him the phone. Now that they know Reese is out of town, it would be a good chance to make their move.
