Yeah, we got 180 yards rushing, but the running game just wasn't cruising like we are used to seeing it. Blue looked great in the first three games. Great vision, speed, inside, outside. He probably could have opened up the playbook for us some more.

Maybe a little, but I think it had I do more w/ Auburn stacking 8/9 in the box & daring Mett to beat them. The blueprint is out. Until we hit a few long passes down the field, defenses will continue to simply outman us in the box.

yes... Blue makes a difference in blocking/qb protection... probably our best rb blocker

Ware was phenomenal. It may have been a good thing just to get Ware out of the doghouse

ford needed more touches. he was on fire in the 1st half and in typical RB rotation fashion, disappeared in the second half. so aggravating

yep, jeremy hill was in quite a bit to block...does not say good things about the rest of our backs ability to pass protect

Yes, Blue makes a difference. Very complete back who could have helped in pass blocking and is good at recieving out of the backfield.

he is the only player allowed to run outside the tackles without getting benched for it, so yeah he is missed

Michael Ford disagrees with this nonsense.

No.

Ware was running hard with great vision, and was catching the ball out of the backfield well.

Ford showed excellent speed to the outside. It's arguable that with the way the offense was struggling, he should have gotten a few more carries to see if he could break a big run.

I like Blue. He's a good player and by all accounts seems like a very good, humble person/teammate. However I just don't get all the hype for him by many in the fanbase. I don't think he adds a demension that the RB corps doesn't have already. Give either Ford, Ware or Hillard 15+ carries, and it's likely they would each get 100 yards

I think until the offense runs the same plays regardless of the back that is in the game, it will be easier for SEC defenses to hold down our run game. It seems like we are not giving a back enough time to get into the flow of the game and if seems like the play call is predictable based on which back is in the game. We need to be more dynamic. With ZM's ability to throw this year it seems to me that running Hilliard at FB and Ware, Blue, Ford, Hill at tailback would give a defense more fits that always running JC at fullback. Seems to me that should be part of the offense as much as anything. Hillard at FB as well as tailback gives a defense more to worry about.

THIS

geees, some of you people.
Spencer ware is dominant.
The fresh legs of ford and hilliard make all 3 better backs.
ABlue wasnt even in the conversation last year.
Ware is our best back IMO.

The team isn't better losing a guy like Blue, but that is the one position with great depth. That said, I don't care who is running the ball; if the WRs don't get separation and make plays down the field, and if the OL can't protect Mett, Walter Payton would have a hard time being effective.

Unless blue was going to play LT, no. He was not missed. Lsu didn't miss a beat in the RB department.
