Is it that bad that the game was close and on the road?

I mean, we're a really young team. I saw some positives, I saw some negatives, and I know the road isn't going to get any easier. But having those young guys in a very tight game and having to perform big in clutch situations is going to really help us moving forward. We've lost two of our three most important players for the season, we're trying to find an identity and fill the void left by those two irreplaceable players. Nobody said it would be easy. Looking forward to UF.

It is whn you live outside LA. I have heard so many oboxious fricks today and dealt with SOOO many at work I am exhausted. You can't fix stupid , and now the whole nation views us as weak. All we can do is hope LSU asserts there dominance against the Gators and rides the momentum through the remainder of the season. We have a good team just need them to mature really quickly and clean up the sloppy plays and penalties. IMHO i feel like we will be fine.

I honestly feel like being underestimated is what this team needs. For the last few years, LSU has been underestimated and overshadowed by the likes of Bama and even Ar-Kansas at times. It just seems that they thrive off of the media and fans calling them out, sort of the "me against the world" mentality, but hey it's worked for us.

We killed outselves with penalties and turnovers.

Our 'O' line looked so-so during passing downs. Mett is not mobile, not accurate on the move.
TE's need improvement.

Mett is accurate when feet are planted. Running game is strong. Linebackers look fast and can make tackles. To have a great season we will need the passing game to be good. Lots of slot type recievers--lets develop that. Problem is what do we do with the TE.

It is great experience with how to win on the road in a hard, tough, fought game! Players said this themselves post game.

Who is "we", homey?

I don't think my "we" is the same as your "we".

I may be way off about Auburn's potential, but I take a bit of a different look at their "inspired play" against us Sat. night. AU is loaded with 4/5 star youngsters who may well have discovered against us that they actually can play "big boy" football. If that is the case, then we should see a marked turn in their play from this point on. I think that AU will "surprise" a lot of folks, particularly on defense, and win several games that they are not supposed to win.

All that matters is the W.

I'd be much more concerned it the stats would be flipped.
We beat them in almost every statistical category. Penalties and turnovers were killer.

That being said, we have some areas to improve. 2 huge factors though, this team still has a monster defense that will keep them in any game. And we also have very good special teams.

The offense is simply a work in progress with the injury to Faulk and a new QB, along with young receivers.
When we go to the swamp and take care of Fla, everyone's tone will change.

I think they needed to be pushed around in a close game on the road. It can do nothing but help us in the long run.

Everybody on this board and LSU fans in general would all get along so much better if we could just swallow and accept the fact that if LSU can just keep winning, none of this other stuff matters.
I dont watch any of it on espn, just bc I dont care.
Beat Fla, usc and a&m and you'll see massive amounts of crawfishing take place by the "experts"
Then maybe I'll watch.

When you are at the top everyone is rooting for you to fall. They are pissed we won. They still know deep down we are elite. Don't let them bother you man.
