2 Fumbles by Mett stopped LSU drives.
2 runs for what should have been first downs were botched by Mett.
Dropped passes and penalties stopped other drives.
1 missed field goal.

Auburn sucks. LSU played like crap and still won.

We need to correct some things. First on the list is penalties. We have had more penalities in one drive than Alabama has had all year. Don't correct the penalties and all this WR and OL talk will really not matter.

It was bad that we had to play in the state of Alabama using the SEC refs. They are always going to try to screw LSU.

Copeland and Mettenburger say that JC had the ball on the first fumble at the two...

Copeland: I had the ball
Add another entry on the list of questionable calls against LSU when it plays at Auburn.

LSU fullback J.C. Copeland claims he had possession of the ball after the botched center-quarterback exchange between Elliott Porter and Mettenberger on LSU’s first drive last Saturday, but said as he got up an Auburn player swiped it and was awarded possession.

The recovery was credited to defensive tackle Jeffrey Whitaker at the Auburn 2.

“I was on top of it and everyone could see me on top of it,” Copeland said. “I get up and one of the Auburn players said he got it.

“They (the referees) just said, ‘Auburn ball.’ ”

“We definitely had the ball in that situation,” Mettenberger said. “He (Copeland) was on top of it and my arm was around it. The Auburn defender kind of ripped out between both of us as he was getting up. It was a really unfortunate situation.”

Add this to the list of questionable calls that went against LSU last Saturday...we were lucky to come away with the win.

Do we look forward to the same thing happening at the Swamp in two weeks?

Dandy Don update today did a very good analysis comparing our first SEC away game last year against Miss St to this year's game against Auburn. It really helped me put a proper perspective and get back toa positive frame of mind about this team. Statistically, almost identical. Score...Miss St was in the game until a 4Q LSU score made it a 2 possession game and our D pinned their ears back and dominated. Only difference...our offense did not ever get it to a 2possion game, but our D still shut it down in the 4Q last week.

Convinced the Auburn game indeed will be a milestone moment where the team really learned the mistakes and grew confidence from the "tight win" experience like last year...still turning in a phenomenal year.

Every good team needs a bad game to be able to turn the page and be a better team from it.
