If we don't have the #1 pick (which is looking unlikely) next year, we need to trade some of our supposed offensive power to get the absolute top pick.

This team is fricking PATHETIC.

Apparently you haven't seen the Browns play yet.

Would be pretty awesomely trade a top 3 pick for a couple extra second rounders. We need a ton of bodies on this defense.

Jones or Montgomery or Mingo or a LT or a RT or a safety. Another corner while we're at it.

Looks like we may need to look for a WR that can actually beat man coverage. Seems like the few times Brees gets time, he can't find a WR open.

Mingo
Jones
Montgomery
Reid
Milliner
Amerson

The best case scenario is to get a pass rusher or the highest rated Tackle. Then in the 2nd the highest rated WR and then Safety

i know there is too much season to speculate, but worst comes to worst.. there's no good WR depth or LT depth in this draft class.

it really sucks.. and if the Saints do have a high pick i hope they can trade it for more picks.

the 2 best DE's are out of LSU. IDC is he is ILB.. if Te'O was available when the Saints pick that is my guy. Jarvis Jones no doubt best OLB tho.. if they picked in the 2nd or 3rd I'd like Sean Porter or Arthur Brown as an OLB.

If there's a game changer there I would take him. Not over a pass rusher or OT, but probably after that.

I know Spags doesnt run a 3-4 but I actually think D has better 34 personnel than our 43.

Will Smith is basically a run stopper at this point. Same with Cam Jordan. Bunkley's a NT.

We could go with Jordan-Bunkley-Smith on the dline.

Hawthorne-Lofton in the middle. Wilson/Mingo?/Jones? to pass rush from the edge?

Or keep Hawthorne on the outside, draft Manti Teo and let Wilson/Gallette rush from the outside?

Meh, if they havethat kind of talent then it would be a good pick. Having solid safety play makes a defense soooo much better. Although obviously a pass rusher would be the better choice if available

Only way I take a safety in the early first is if he's Eric Berry or Ed Reed.

I'm just wondering how teams are going to use Mingo. There is zero chance he'll ever be able to set the edge in a 34 or 43.

Sharper had borderline HOF credentials before he got here, people thought he was washed up. He has one unreal year for us.

They can wait for another miracle to happen, and have a Sharper fall in their laps again or they can go get him if he's there in the draft.

At this point why would you assume the Saints will see something in a late round/FA defensive player that other teams didn't see, and then develop him into a legit player?

at saftey or DE?

it's very rare to find a guy with pass rushing ability late. even legit psychos go in the 1st like bruce irvin

safties? sure. i'm talking drafting one in the top half of the 1st here, not EVER
