I saw the discussion on the Score Board that it hit the Aubie players facemask before hitting Landry.

Would love to see a high quality vid if anyone has it.

Or just link me to the proper thread.

It hit the auburn player

Just watched the replay, officials got that one wrong and I'm not sure what they saw

I don't have the capability at the moment, but man, that was blatant. The ball changed direction when it hit the auburn player. I don't know how they got that one wrong.

AU facemask moves and ball changes trajectory, close, yes, but def not conclusive to overturn. I'd love to see the angles in tbe booth

This was the last chance for the refs to alter the game and we overcame it. that PR sucked anyway. Landry got one from him.

I couldn't find a video anywhere, but on the TV replay it was obvious (on replay--not at game speed) that it hit the back of our guy's (Landry? can't remember!) left hand before anything else. It may have hit the outside of the Auburn guy's lower leg after that (irrelevant really), but it definitely hit LSU's player first and therefore was a dead ball.

espn3.com has a full replay of the game. The punt in question occurs at the 2:03:00 mark on the video.

eta: I think the replay booth got it right. Looks like it touched Jarvis Landry's hand first, and maybe not the Auburn player at all. Best view is at 2:07

Ok, It may have it Landrys elbow, but if it hit the Auburn players facemask, that would've happened first.

Hit Jarvis on the wrist first. Watched it several times over.

I think you're making the same mistake the replay official did. Watch the ball the whole way instead of just seeing if it hit Landry's arm before 22's jersey. It grazes off the facemask of 22, and there's a clear shift in his facemask when it does. It's also debatable that it hit the first 2 before it hit Landry's arm, but those two things were near simultaneous.

Still, hitting the facemask is all that was needed.

I saw the same thing and thought they got that call right. Even if they didn't, there's a whole bunch of other plays that didn't work and should have - like the long playaction to Odell that hit him in the hands.

well it didn't need to be over turned because they ruled it LSU ball on the field. so it should need concrete evidence it hit jarvis first.

That might be correct.

That part is not so "clear".
