and that is our offensive line, I really do think all of our offensive problems last night are centered around the play of the offensive line, play calling was shaky at times, but it has been shaky every year Miles has been the head ball coach. Receivers drop the ball from time to time but that is a small issue compared to the line. Discipline will be fix I'm not worried about that. But if we don't fix our O-line Florida will beat us A&M will give us trouble and could could beat us. Bama will beat us, and we could be upset by some team. IF we fix our O-line problem we will beat Florida by pulling away in the second half, We will dominate A&M, and we will play the game of the century again against Bama and who knows what will happen in this game. The point is If LSU's O-line continues to play like they did last night and let ends run past them, allow penetration into the backfield on run plays, our offense will continue to struggle, but if we get a solid player at the LT spot we will run all over people Mett will have time and develop into a good QB.

The success or failure of this entire season rests on our Coaches ability to fix our offensive line.

The one problem is CLM play calling.

Last night they stacked the box against the run. Couple of times I saw nine in the box. We didn't make enough plays in the passing game to make them pay for that.

and still in the past when teams stacked the box with our stellar o-line we would still pound it on them and get 4 5 yards a carry.

plus mett was put in situations where he doesn't play his best, roll out plays he doesn't throw it well on the run, quick passes because our Tackles let DE run right past them.

our offense would play alot better if our O-line didn't play like they did last night.

spot on my Catholic Tiger brother...O-line especially LT will get exposed, especially by Bama and Florida unless we game plan and give him help, backs chipping, TE help etc..a little imagination on first down and 3rd and 3 will also be a plus..how about play action or a screen pass every now and again

The run blocking is outstanding at times and meh at others. The pass protection is often there, but it is much closer to 50/50.

The OL needs to play at a consistently high level, particularly in pass protection because we're now keeping 2 RBs in to have 7 block 5 or 6 rushers, with 3 receivers against 5 or 6 defenders in coverage and that isn't going to work, long-term.

it's part of the problem, not the problem. z.m. has four turnover in four games. 3 in the red zone. that is a problem. he's giving the other team at least another possession, he's taking points away from lsu, and he's giving the other team points see AU and idaho game.

i know a lot are putting the fumbled snap on porter. Looking at it, i don't. It his z.m. in the hands, porter did his job getting it to him, he didn't do his by securing it.

Agree. The staff made some great adjustments in the 2nd half. Mett wasn't sacked and had time to throw in 2nd half. I rewatched the game and JC missed block after block. Maybe he can just STFU on twitter and focus on getting better.

the two last night first on center for unclean snap

second for line allowing a D-line to get pressure on him, yes he didn't handle the ball as he should have but he also had no time.

this is a problem but he is also a young QB, if our line plays like they did last night against Florida USCe and other teams Mett will have no time to throw it and will continue to make mistakes. If they play better then they did last night mett will have time and will make less mistakes.

I don't care if we put manning back there at QB if our line can't give our QB time we will have no chance.
