Projected LSU Pro Starting RB's

I think the Pro starting possibility goes something like this, in terms of ranking the likelihood...
1) Hiliard - An agile bruiser with good speed, a great size/frame and damn good vision.
2) Hill - A wild guess, but he just looks like a Ridley to me. He is built so solid, but has speed and flexibility. Remember the Ridley shift or spin he used to squeeze into the endzone? Yep, I see some similar traits in his limited reps. I qualified this, so please accept the qualification. It's my guess/prediction, and you have a right to your own
3) Ford - When he gets released and gets his carries, he will produce many break-away runs/TD's. He has classic old school NFL power with great speed to the corners.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4) Blue - I think Blue could be a superstar in a different offense, and the right Pro team could make him a solid NFL back. He reminds me of the classic USC tailback. He has great vision and speed.
5) Ware - A faster, and nearly-as-tough-as-Hester-type. Would have to go to the the right team for him to start, but surely will be drafted and would likely make the 53-man roster for someone.
I think the top-3 become starters, and the other 2 are situationally-used, but these 2 could also start with the right team.
This is the best overall set of RB's I have ever seen on one team.
What is your predicted Pro ranking order?

1. Blue
2. Hard Hitting Hilliard
3. Ware
4. Ford
5. Hill (To be determined) let's not get carried away here, Justin Vincent was a beast his first few years here and look what happened

Alfred blue won't make it in the NFL and isn't the best back on the team even when healthy

I rewatched the first 3 games yesterday.. I miss Blue already.
He is awesome.

Some people are delusional
Hill may be great but he had a couple carries in garbage time against Idaho and he's the next Barry sanders
And blue is the best all around back on LSU. You are kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Kenny is awesome but blue is better all purpose back

Coaches that get paid millions for their opinions on these things do not agree with you.

How many get drafted in the 3rd round or earlier?
Posted on 9/22/12 at 2:37 am to ATLienTiger
I think Hilliard gets drafted in the 3rd+ round easy after putting up over 40 TDs in 3 years. Don't know yet about all he others. I believe Ford has a shot, but I have to see him perform better between the tackles and block to get a true assessment.

I like blue but I like ford just as much.. ford was the best back last year & he is not gettin the carries this year idky

Ware is the only possibility not to make it. He is small but many have overcome that.
Blue is definitely pro starter material.
Ford has been banged up here and there. He's money when healthy. He's more agile than Hilliard yet hard hitting and fast.

What is your definition of small? Before Hill showed up, Ware was the second biggest behind Hilliard at 5'11" 225 pounds. He was probably playing at 235 last year. Ware is not a small back.

He tore his acl in 2010 and has another knee injury to start this season. Not going to make it in the nfl with injuries like that.

Just like Stevan Ridley didn't

Ridley was a much better RB at lsu than blue

Blue & Hillard! The rest are good to. I think with more playing time Hill will be great.
Posted on 9/22/12 at 9:02 am to Football_Freak
Ware has shown flashes of pure power. He needs to be consistent. He also needs to make a cut every now and then and he'll get more yards
Hilliard will be a starter in the NFL.
Blue...I'm just not sure yet. He appears to run a bit high and I'm not sure how that will translate in the NFL. He should make a team though.
Ford should make a roster and potentially could be a starter. It's hard to tell with him but I suspect that he could develop into another LSU RB that finds his game in the NFL.
Hill...while it's early to speculate on him, he has the measurables that make him special. He could be a potential NFL starter but he has several years to work on getting better and I hope that is is focus.
