Am I the only one who noticed Dredd 3D's Tomato-meter?

I still think it's funny that I've seen several different trailers for this (including one in the theater), and have still not seen the main character's full face.

One hell of a surprise really. This film only had a 45 million dollar budget. That's almost unheard of today with a sci fi project.

It really is, but my favorite recent sci fi movies have been the low budget ones (moon, sunshine, etc...)

Hell of a jaw line though.

I saw the first trailer or so where I liked how gritty it looked compared to Sly's, but then I saw a later one that had me going up and down as the trailer went along, wondering if the cheese factor would again be strong with this one.

Seeing these reviews makes me want to give it a chance, since the premise has always been pretty good.

We won't see his full face the entire movie. Apparently this movie will follow the comic book more closely and he never reveals his face or takes the helmet off in the comic. That's what I read anyway.

That's how the one I saw last night was (in theaters, so it was longer than the TV spots). Sometimes it looked okay, and then sometimes it was predictable and cheesy in a bad way.

The Dredd Heads were pissed about this in the Stallone debacle

As long as he yells, "I AM THE LAW!!!", I'll be a happy man.

At least Stallone's helmet didn't look 3 sizes too big.

Plus this one won't have Rob Scheider (of course the Stallone version was still shite regardless).

Classic comic finally getting a real adaptation? I'm excited, honestly.

I am impressed - was looking at it closer based on this thread and noticed that Karl Urban is Dredd - which sells the movie for me.

Wow, that's interesting. I was thinking it looked good and I'm not a comic guy. Will have to check it out.

This and Lena Headey as the villain, definitely interests me

I was also reading that it needs to make at least $50mil at the box office for the sequel to be greenlit. I think it looks good.
