As an Alum AND a Season Ticket Holder, I dont care. I dont blame people for not wanting to stay until the very last second of a beat down, hell I rarely do.

When I held season tickets for 11 years before I had to move out of state, I always stayed for the end and the last play. I enjoyed watching the plays and the game. My wife enjoyed seeing people we knew as we walked out. Now, I think it's horrible people leave early to beat the traffic, but, it exists. Why can't we have a policy from LSU to allow ticket holders that leave early to GIVE THEIR TICKET STUBB to kids/high school players, students/fans to get in free for the last 1/3rd or quarter of the game. Let a kid in to fill up the stadium, sit in your seat, yell and support the team the last quarter or more. This would get around and be popular. For many games,it might fill the stadium.

Every LSU game is televised, just about, to a national audience. They see the empty stands. Bad reflection on LSU.

Its not a bad reflection on LSU at all.

If anything, the national media would be saying "Welp...there goes half of Tiger Stadium in the 4th quarter again this week after another 35 point blowout. These Tigers are going to be tough to beat."

I havent read all of the posts so dont know if anyone has came up with this one yet. Definitely read some pretty good ideas that have been posted. Again the sale of beer and some watered down mixed drinks like the Superdome does and then after the 3rd quarter has ended , the ultimate 2 for one alcohol. Just kidding really though because with this the Baton Rouge police, EBR Sheriff's office and La State Troopers would have their hands full.i

Then consider it an insult to the players.

"Gee, you've played so well and devastated your opponent, we're going to walk out on you and not watch you play anymore."

I would definitely agree with you TupeloTiger, that would be an excellent idea and like you said would at least get people back into the stadium and give them a chance to see some football where other wise they may not ever have the chance.

Here's a thought: Instead of trying to convince those people to stay, scan their ticket when they exit and let people outside the stadium pay a "standing room only" price to go fill their seats, and after a certain point in the game it would be free.

Oh yeah, that's a GREAT idea.
With all the idiots we have now "without" alcohol, can only imagine the fun with it.

Less or shorter TV time outs. Four hours is to long. It seems the time spent on these timeouts is increasing every year.

Randomly announce a section that gets to go out on the field after the game ends and do whatever; meet players, sing alma mater, etc.

This, the cult of excessive tailgating takes its toll on both physical abilities and the focus on the game.
