Oh and one more thing from Monday night - when Christina was sitting there with Armstrong from Green Day before the singers walked in, was I the only one cheering for the room to explode? No? Ok just checking. Those 2 suck at life though

Biggest surprise so far. I think he's the best of everyone to get cut so far. Better than Collin or Caitlin who were stolen even.

I agree with you on her creative style and the uniqueness of her voice, but she still didn't shine for me and it was supposed to be a battle. In my mind, she didn't win it at that time. I think she'll improve when they work with her and that may well be why she was selected.
I'll be glad when they go live. I feel like I'm watching the show twice. Every time they go to commercial, they show something coming up and when they return, they revisit what took place a few minutes before. Do they think we forgot what we just watched? It's ridiculous. If I watch the tape, I can at least ff through the repeated sections.

First battle was actually better than I thought it would be. That's a really stupid, shitty song though, and frick SeeLow for picking it. And that Domo chick is way hotter than I originally thought she was. Props to Cee Lo for picking the better singer though...I was shocked he did pick Cody, especially when he was like "It comes down to personal preference.."
Also, Domo..whoever told you that you sound like mariah Carey needs to have their head examined. You have a decent voice, and you're pretty hot, but Mariah Carey you are not.
Second battle. Aquill is really fricking good. Natalie has a good voice, but definitely sounded a little off in the battle though. Aquill is the obvious winner though.
What the frick, now they're shooting through fricking battle rounds? NBC is trying their best to make me stop watching the show. So in an hour of show, they managed to show exactly three actual battles. frick you, NBC. Yet again.
Going into the third battle, I don't really like Caitlynn or Melanie to be honest. But Adam was smart picking Melanie because she was more unique sounding.
Also, thanks, NBC, for showing us that a steal was coming. Could you assholes frick up this show any more? Don't try to build suspense before commercial breaks when we already know that it doesn't matter who gets picked because someone is stealing the other one.

That really pissed me off... they made it sound like one of the contestants butchered it and it wasn't worth showing, but I think we'd all rather see that than 30 seconds of "coming up" and 30 seconds of "before the break" every fricking time they cut to commercial.

Ok...I just watched last night. I'm agreeing pretty much w/ everyone's thoughts.
Nathalie just underwhelmed me. She was good...but meh.
Two-tone hair girl does have a unique voice...but I don't think it's suited to do a lot with. I just think that you should be able to cover more genres to win this thing b/c it is about the voice. That's why Jermaine and Juliet were so strong last season. They could sing anything. This girl can't.
Boy that was a surprise w/ Amanda. She brought it. I agree that "Valerie" was not a good audition song to showcase her voice. So glad that CeeLo realized his mistake immediately. You could see the regret in his face the whole time.
Arkanasas pig boy....I'm just not sure. I want to like him bc I think his personality is awesome and he asked good questions. "What can I do to stand out to you?" Domo was too worried about dancing. SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad she is gone. D to the O to the OUT the DOOR!
I didn't like how they just skipped over what, 2?, battle rounds. WTF?
My DVR didn't record the first half hour on Monday so I missed Terry :(

I saw him playing an acoustic set at HoB in July. We all commented on how awesome he was....and then he's on the show...so I'm pulling for him.

Then they should change the format of the show. But they need to stop skimming through actual performances.
At this point, I'm wondering if we'll see the final four contestants perform, they show the first three and then they skip through the last one one without really showing it but we get Carson saying "..and so-and-so gave a great performance that left her coach in tears....now go cast your vote, America."
