Might be his best album yet. I know that's saying alot. But on first listen i'm very impressed.
Same formula as most of his albums. raw bluesy country.
Favorite songs on first pass - low down rambling blues, Out of this Hole, Jack Loved Jesse and Hard Edges (already on Trailer Tapes, but remixed with a bluegrass feel).

Don't really know much about him, but he's playing close to the house this Friday night .. anyone seen him live?

I saw him at the Red Dragon in Baton Rouge in 08 and again last year in Tulsa at the Cains Ballroom. Both shows were great. Chris's genius is his lyrics and poetry. So the live experience isn't exactly what he's known for. But it'll be a great time.
