you really need to give out more info and past history of what this guy has done and his experience in these matters. Any business experience beforehand? Plenty traditional businesses are doomed to fail at the beginning for many reasons unless you have a great sales team and/or a great in demand product/service or something with not much competition.

I second the thought that there needs to be a high demand or a great sales team to overcome low demand. Id stick to things that will always be around (babies, college students,etc). Make your demand self replenshing.

Also, obviously it is best to do something you love, so be wise when making the final decision.
