What is the story on this guy? Do we want him? Where is he going? Some recruiting sources have him the #1 prospect in La.

Will probably come down to signing day - LSU in running with Bama and Miami right there

yea

prolly headed to 5th hour or recess right now. As far as colleges go, he may or may not be leaning to FSU or Miami.

Why? Especially Miami with everything going on. Why isn't he very high on LSU?

He is a high 4 star, do we have too many DE's already committed?

The search function sucks, but there are a plethora of threads on Williams if you want info.

It's Miami U or LSU according to the insiders with LSU in the end because he has a baby and the assumption is his family will push him to stay close to home to be a part of his kids life.

he wants to play and live in the sunshine state according to his interviews but sources close to the situation (family, etc) say he will end up in br when its all said and done. its fun for a recruit to dream about leaving his home town but when its time to actually make the decision, its very hard to leave family and a kid

This is very false. He has full family support wherever he goes and trust me, he is and will always be in his daughters life. The people who continue to bring this up don't know Tim at all. His family wants him to go where he will be happy. Whether it is LSU, Miami, or anywhere else that is where his family wants/ and will support him being at.
That being said I do think he will end up at LSU because he really likes and respects the coaching staff and tradition at LSU. He also respects that they're his hometown team, but at this time Miami is an option that he really likes along with Florida State. He will make the right decision for him and his family when the time comes (probably sometime after the season, possibly the Under Armour All American Game)

That may be the case but the post did say "assumption" and that assumption is based not on knowing him but having seen how these things have played out in the past. Jai Eugene is a pretty good past case to refer to.

I don't have any inside info, but I can't see why people are putting so much faith in TW staying in BR because of his child. Like the other poster said, it's not like he can't be with the kid in FL, his family could easily just decide to move there. Trent Richardson didn't end up at Pensacola State College.

It's not just the fans assuming he'll stay close because of his child. Every recruiting analyst in the country keeps saying the same thing, Miami is in it but in the end family keeps him at home. That's almost verbatim what everyone from Shea/Sonny, Perroni, Gerry Hamilton and every other guy repeatedly say. Evidently it has legs to it. Sonny has come out and said that from his talks with the family, home wins in the end.

Bama got deeper pockets than the U.

Latest article said he didn't have a leader, I think the UM writer jumped the gun

Don't understand his interest in Miami, they are terrible. Bad coaches, undisciplined players & they haven't gone to BCS bown in many years. Sort of like Texas! Hookem Horns!

I don't know if Miami, given their current troubles, is in a position to move a kid's entire family to a new city. Bama boosters moving Richardson's family to Birmingham is par for the course up there.
