Lake/River vacation suggestions?

Looking to vacation for a week in a woodsy campy location with a river or lake for good fishing/boating. Can be within 10 hour drive from new orleans. Would love to have cabin on the water. All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Lake Fausse Pointe State park is beautiful, but I'm not sure how good the fishing is. Nice cabins you can rent, but think you have to do this way in advance. Toledo Bend has countless options. If you like mountains/steams/rainbow trout kinda stuff... Tennessee or North Georgia would be right at the limit of your drive radius

North West Arkansas has some nice areas. Check out around Eurika Springs.

NW Ark cross over into Mizzou. Table Rock Lake. Even better than a cabin rent a houseboat. Beautiful country up there tons of info online.

lake rosemound in st francisville has some cool houses on the lake, fishing is pretty good and its got a nice area for skiing and such. idk if they have houses for rent tho
