ESPN picture quality vs. FSC picture quality

Is it just my television or is the FSC picture quality terrible? It looks so grainy compared to the smooth look of ESPN.

Definitely espn>fsc for me, but I don't get fsc in hd. So that's a no brainer

havent had fsc in a while but it was always a little grainy.

FSC HD is just as good a picture as ESPN HD

I think Fox Soccer has always been worse than ESPN and ESPN2 in terms of picture quality.

ESPN has more money and it shows in a slight upgrade in camera quality.
For example, I always like it when Saints are on CBS, NBC, or ESPN - always better quality than Fox.
Sounds quality is usually better on the other channels as well.

One of the two broadcasts in a higher quality. Pretty sure it's CBS.

ESPN was great for me today. FSC HD seemed grainy like you said. It might the type of TV. I have an LCD which is known for not showing sports well. For those who said ESPN and FSC HD are the same, do you have a plasma?
