Yeah that might have to be kingsguard but cersei would just put whoever she wants in the kingsguard

Cersei is kind of powerless right now depending on who replaces Kevan.

She no longer has the authority to replace members of the Kingsguard

Also, she does not have the whole Kingsguard at KL. Jamie is missing, Kettleblack is in a dungeon by the Faith testifying against her, Swann is down in Dorne, Blount has been made a food tester and not a ally of Cersei, and Loras is either very hurt or would not support her.

Which would mean that the faith automatically wins if they chose a trial by 7 (I don't believe they will)

I don't see this at all. She could have other than King's guard defend her.

It explicitly states that as queen regent she must be represented by a member of the Kingsguard.

I do not believe they will either, but the first part of this is not true. Remember in The Hedge Knight that Aerion had knights that replaced the Kingsguard because only 3 of them were at Ashford Meadow.

Getting back to the theory that Jon is a Targ...how is it that Lyanna went through nine months of pregnancy without anyone noticing? Robert surely wouldn't have been betrothed to some chic that lost her maidenhead, would he? I am also not sure that the honorable Eddard Stark would support a bastard child from his sister as well. If she was weak and got pregnant out of wedlock, the Ned Stark we know would have left that at her nursing, no matter what would come. Is the theory that Jon was born of Rhaegar raping Lyanna? There are a lot of holes in that theory for me.

Well Roberts Rebellion lasted over a year, plenty of time for Jon to be conceived and born.

We have already seen that Ned was willing to forsake his honor for his family.

That is one of them but the most common theory is that Lyanna and Rhaegar ran off together and the relationship was mutual. Whether Ned knew that or not I don't know.

Ned's final thoughts in his POV prior to the beaheading were those of sadness & shame that he never got to tell Jon his true background. He also felt guilty for telling lies for 14 years...

Again, and no one noticed this chic get fat and have a baby? Word would have gotten out. And when it did, I dont think Robert Baratheon would hold Lyanna in such high esteem anymore. I am not saying the theory of R+L=J is not true, but I have yet to be convinced.

No one saw because she was in a tower in Dorne for a year.

As sneaky and cunning and cersei can be, I would think she would get what she wants from the new hand or whoever would choose the kingsguard.

This she was at the tower of joy from the time she left with Rhaegar until Ned found her after the war. No one else was with her except three members of the kingsguard and possibly Wylla, Jon's wet nurse.

And F Machine. Cersei is pretty much shite out of luck if the Hand and Regent turns out to be Mace Tyrell....

Oh, well f me then. This helps the R+L=J theory; however, I would guess no one in Dorne knew who got hr pregnant right? Don't think they'd take kindly to the mistress of Elia's husband.

No one in Dorne or anywhere else knew she was pregnant. The only people alive who know at this point in the books are Howland Reed and possibly Wylla and we don't know if Wylla was actually there or not.

The timeline works quite well for R+L=J without word getting out.

The Tourney at Harrenhal was in 281 and Lyanna was taken shortly after.

The battle at the Tower of Joy was not until 283.

So, well over a year and possibly close to two for Lyanna to be at Joy and have a baby.

Probably so and I doubt its gonna be that 7 on 7 anyway, but I always have a hard time counting a lannister out in this series.

Has no one asked themselves why Tyrion looks so different from the rest of the Lannisters? Doesnt GRRM bring out the bloodline history several times to point out that all Lannisters have blond hair and blue eyes? Yet Tyrion has dark hair and violet eyes in the book? Can it be possible that Tyrion was actually the mad kings son, conceived through a rape or maybe an illicit affair? Could that be big reason Tywin took his family away from kings landing and kept them at casterly rock and why Tywin betrayed the mad king?
