To go back to normal mode, press the select character button at the start screen, then select your character and it will give you the option of playing in normal or TVHM.
They should have made that option a bit easier, took me for friggin ever to find it the first time

I'm getting close to the end I think. Everybody in Sanctuary gave me weapons, shield, grenades, etc to go kill Jack. None of it was better than what I had so I sold it.

doesn't look like i'll get much game time in this weekend. brother turns 30 today so we have a party tonight and tomorrow afternoon/evening. i'm predicting dehydration sunday morning.
