Mars Landing Successful!: NASA "Curiosity" Rover

Anybody else going to watch the feed tonight? The actual landing takes place at 12:31 AM CST. Coverage begins around 8:30.

To get an appreciation for everything involved, do yourself a favor and watch this video LINK

Do you have a link to the feed? What time is this supposed to happen? I'll watch, as long as it doesn't interfere with me watching the Saints game.

Thanks for posting. This is the first I have heard of this. You would think this would be all over the news. That is a true feat of engineering.

Dude from baton rouge is the flight director for the landing. Kyle Comeaux I think is his name. There's an article in the advocate about it--would post but on phone and don't have the time.

Yeah you would think but it's too much of a feel good story about NASA and the US. It interferes with the shite stirring the media thrives off now.

Nah, with the fifteen light minute distance between Earth and Mars at landing, it'll crash on its own with no communication at all from Earth.
