Ste. Marie review ...

I am going to a white linen party and they are catering. Hope it is better than what you are about to describe.

I've never heard a good thing about the place so don't intend on wasting my time eating there. I go for drinks occasionally because I have friends that live there but everyone that I know who has eaten there was always disappointed.

Ok. Sorry for the delay, but I powered through my hangover and just stayed drunk all weekend.

We arrive for our reservation. We promptly order drinks and are tickled that we made it in time to order during the happy hour special. Our waiter says with a straight face that he won't make it to the bar to put our orders in time to make the special. The "Monroe" cocktail was delicious, though.

Actually the food was pretty good but the whole evening was tarnished by such terrible service. After leaving work during the middle of the meal we get another waitress that is already in the weeds with her own tables. Waited 45 minutes for our dessert . Finally asked for them to go when another server throws the desserts on the table and sarcastically says that he apologizes for the delay but they pride themselves in making everything fresh.

And a 20% tip was added on by them. Usually I don't mind when we have 6 or more, but it stung this time because they were so rude.

Hey man, you forgot to mention how the food was terrible. Seriously, I've had a better croque monsieur from La Madeleine.
