I have 1lb of lump crabmeat and 2lbs of shrimp. I was thinking of making a pasta, but I don't want a thick sauce. Any ideas? It doesn't have to be pasta either. TIA.

I would stuff eggplant or mirliton, both of which freeze well. I have a recipe in the recipe book in the stickied thread. Nothing about it needs to be exact. You can tinker with it as you like. Will work for mirliton, as well as eggplant. You would just need more mirliton because they're smaller than eggplant.

Crab and shrimp cakes or crab cakes and do something else with the shrimp like shrimp salad, perhaps.

I am not too fond of eggplant. I would do crab cakes, but I have been craving something with both. I would love to do a gumbo, but my wife might think it isnt cold enough outside. Yes, I will eat gumbo all during the year, lol.

A good, dark shrimp and crab stew served over rice. One of my favorite dishes that my mom makes

Sometimes, I make a crab and shrimp meuniere or amandine thing. I make the sauce and add the almonds and bake the crab and shrimp in that until the shrimp are done. I don't put it over pasta or anything. I like it just like that with asparagus and French bread. On occasion, I add some sherry to the amandine mixture. Good stuff. Probably going to do that with jumbo lump, tonight.
