Bob Seger

I’ve had occasion recently to rediscover some of my Bob Seger catalog. I’d rate the quality of his material as being excellent, especially given the fact that he wrote his own songs. Travelin Man/ Beautiful Loser, Night Moves, Hollywood Nights, Fire Lake, Roll Me Away, Rock-n-Roll Never Forgets, Against the Wind, MainStreet, etc. are all very good. Some stuff, such as Old Time Rock-n-Roll and Like A Rock were overplayed, but in listening to the albums/CD’s, he even had some great album cuts.

Although out of the spot light for a long time, how would you rate his music/songwriting skills?
