Self defense for wife in car

What's the best non lethal products out there for a woman to keep in her car? Different websites are recommending things like the pepper gun and the pepper canister. She is not comfortable at all with a real gun. Anyone have any experience with either of these, or have a better recommendation?

Honestly I think you should try to get her comfortable with a handgun.
Mace and tasers are not always effective and very ineffective on multiple assailants.
Having said that, if you are hellbent on not getting a gun and get her mace, make sure she has at least a knife handy as well. Often times the mace will disorient, but the attacker can still come at her. Make sure she has a backup.

No way I get the pepper gun. Increases her chances of getting shot IMO. Take her out and get her comfortable. She has to spend time shooting to get that way.

I'll have to agree with Slick on this.
If she still don't want a gun get some wasp spray. It shoots further than pepper spray.

Some good suggestions, but I'd especially emphasize situational awareness to her. The best self defense for her will be for her to be aware of her surroundings, what is going on, adequate space between her car and other cars, etc.

FWIW, if she is not taking to your training, sign her up for a class. I bet she has 3000000% more confidence after a good class. VATA has a womens only class they sometimes run.

Just explain her options, and she'll come around. She can either get raped until her pussy falls off and then disemboweled, pissed on, beheaded and then raped some more, or she can get comfortable shooting a gun.
Mine was scared shitless of guns until we went and shot and she damn near hit the bullseye a couple times from 30' away. Then she had to have her own pistol.

The best defense. Even with a gun, no self awareness will get you in trouble.
