I love me some Hokie. He seems like a down home type guy who doesn't take his life or playing days so seriously.

And when he doesn't know something about a topic, he freely admits he doesn't know. I like that type of transparency in a man or woman.

I didn't know his first name is "Howard".

From what I remember:
- played FS as a trueFR in '77
- played FB in '78 (blocked for the Alexander the Great and one of the best FB's LSU's ever had)
- played TB in '79
- played RB in '80 (our O ran the veer with Risher that year)
- had great speed (for real)
- caught a screen pass for a TD vs OM in '79 that was a huge part of our comeback
- my all-time favorite play of his: vs UK in '78, a UK DB (Venus Meaux) int'd our pass and began returning it. Hokie laid him our cold on the tackle. Hokie did the same thing to a KC Chief DB as a Saint.

Vaguely remember him playing for baker in the pouring rain vs EJ
