don't really care, but with Tyler and J.Lo quitting. Pretty sure the numbers haven't been too good the last seasons. Discuss....

I think the show will go on because of the raw talent, not the judges. I never felt JLo was much of a judge. They need true voice coaches or record producers. Steven Tyler was a good judge (IMO). He knows music.

no as long as they keep bringing on judges people we keep watching. it has garnered a loyal fan base that will continue to watch it no matter who the judges are. i'm pretty sure it is still a money cow

The problem I have with American Idol is that it just isn't producing any significant stars.
Outside of Kelly and Carrie, every other contestant that has ever been on this show will probably be nothing more than a footnote in history (I'm not gonna credit American Idol with Jennifer Hudson's Oscar). Most fade into total obscurity.

I haven't watched American Idol since Simon left.
The auditions with Simon as a judge were the best and drunk Paula was pretty funny

Other than the horrific judging and blatant bias that was displayed on a weekly basis, this past season the actual competition and show turned out to be better than it has been in a few years.
