Did a search and couldn't find much but if we put in a claim pre-match of EG. He could be had for around 2-3 mill. Would provide a big body inside and likely better than most of the other candidates out there for a similar price.

Can only claim for that year. Would be a nice fill in until Davis beefs up some. If it works out, re-signing him wouldn't be bad at a reasonable deal. He would provide solid back-up size.

How does the potential Clippers trade factor into this. If we take on Gomez's contract will we be over the cap? If we're over the cap we cant pick up amnestied players right?

We aren't sure if we are running this offseason under the cap or over the cap. We can only bid on amnestied players if we're under the cap.

I don't mind a lowball bid on him if we don't pull in a center soon.
I'd rather overpay for Brand than get Darko through amnesty, but Brand will likely get an insane bid from the Mavs or Rockets that we can't or won't exceed.
