Last night was ruff ... I had little too much to drink and went off in the SAF thread
@Beast Agger being out will end up being a good thing IMO.

Spanish press reporting Atlético de Madrid is trying to coordinate a €47M bid for Luis Suárez.

I guess we all knew this summer would bring lots of these 'rumors' .
We'll see what happens. Nothing would really surprise me. But I'll find the positive in it, no matter what happens.

Atlético wants him, but they need Azerbaijan (or however its´spelled) to help foot the bill.
We´ll see.
Simeone says go ahead.

Will be very very disappointed if it happens for obvious reasons.

I would, definitely for that price

This is why no matter what rumors come out I not going to pay attention to them unless the deal becomes final.
I don't like that price either and if we do sell 60 million would be the price to me and they complain we go no lower than 55 million. Then we go out and load up the squad ... maybe bring Jovetic.

I personally would not sell Suarez regardless of the amount of money on the table. Especially not this season. I want us to add A-grade players not take away our best player.
Also, I am in Atlanta this weekend. Anyone on this board in ATL? Any LFC bars in town where one could watch this weekend's game?

Whereas I agree with you if he is sold we just have to play the best of it and continue to build.

Going to try and keep above the Suarez fray. There will be lots of rumors, 75% of them made up or complete garbage. If I start paying attention to them, I'll bet obsessed with it.
Rather start thinking about a way too early look at next season. Of course, transfers will have a big affect (for us and the other teams), but right now, I'm looking to see which of the teams ahead of us are vulnerable.
ManU - new coach - who knows how it will go. But enough talent and we knows he's a decent enough coach that I doubt they drop out of the top 4.
ManCity - most likely similar to above, assuming there is a new coach. Enough talen that its hard to imagine them dropping out of the top 4.
Chelsea - who knows - plenty of young talent, but if some of the leaders aren't there next year, I can see a slight slip.
Aresenal - I'm wondering if they will pick some guys back up (Fabregas etc.) from some of the Spanish main teams movements. As almost every year, they will be in the dog fight for the top 4.
Tots - whether they are able to keep Bale or spend his transfer money wisely will determine this.
Everton - they will drop some, but remain top 10. Too much stability will be lost with Moyes gone.
I don't see any teams behind us coming up that will compete.
Assuming we can improve, it will be a four team fight for those last two spots. One of them will be making a coaching change. One of them may lose their best player. And one of them usually loses their best player every year (not sure if they have one this year).

The question for us will we be able to bring in talent to bridge the gap and if the teams above us drop enough for us to overtake them to have a top four finish.

Falcao signed with Mónaco. Atlético de Madrid now has the cash for Suárez.
