I found your problem.

Herbstreit is nothing more than a talking head. He's paid to find a flaw with LSU so that USC is #1 and Los Angeles is the center of the college football world.

He, as well as some of those other "experts" at ESPN said this during their TOP 25 countdown preview show

I beg to differ. In the times i've seen him in action, including practice this year, he has shown great mobility in the pocket.

biggest difference: TIMING!!!! Almost every pass he threw in the SG was in rythym and on time. There wasn't any hesitation in his decision making. Our qb indecisiveness was the biggest problem last season. WRs expected to get the ball and it would either be too late or poorly thrown. I'm excited to see our offense in action in the fall. There is a good chance that if Mett plays lights out and we win the NC, LSU will looking for a new starter in 2013.

agree 100 percent except I would also add the issue of instincts/pocket awareness to the list of things that troubled JJ in his career as a QB. That's stuff you just can't teach and he did not have any of it.

Is that exactly what he said, that Mett "can't move his feet"? Or was it maybe that mobility and athleticism are not his strong points, a strengths and weaknesses sort of analysis?
I didn't see the segment, but sometimes I wonder if people don't exaggerate the negatives that the talking heads put out there about LSU.

really doesn't have to play lights out, just decent.

I'm not saying he needs to play lights out then we win the NC. I'm saying that if he plays lights out & wins a NC, he is likely going into the Draft. Sorry for not explaining myself better.
