Barnes over MKG ..?

Am I the only one that thinks Barnes is the way better prospect? Barnes is bigger and has a NBA caliber shot. Although MKG has better defensive game and has a more physical, I don't see how his game is going to transfer in the NBA. If you watched him play and the majority of his highlights, he relied on put backs and a low post game that IMO will not work against NBA talent and height. It seems it would be a lot easier to teach Barnes to play better defense than to teach MKG to shoot and have an offensive game. I just don't get the MKG hype, reminds me of tyrus Thomas. Thoughts?

I'd rather Barnes but would take either. But it really doesn't matter..

For all those who hate on Drummond or PJIII for lack of effort or falling asleep on the court, Barnes is worse.
MKG > Barnes for the simple fact that MKG is a harder worker and wants it more

Everything that I've heard or read of when the guys go head up against each other, MKG always gets the better of Barnes. Plus he's a year + younger than Barnes
Whether it was HS camps, UK vs UNC, per draft workings, etc. MKG always comes out on top.

Wants it more?.....how do you know this they are18 years old.? Barnes has way more ability to take over a game. Just bc he was maybe timid at times doesn't mean he didn't want it. He was still a freshman...IMO he will learn to turn it on...even with all of MKG effort I just don't see that he has any tools to take over a game. Just bc someone has the "want" to be great doesn't mean they have the talent. Hell I have more want to play but that sure as hell doesn't make me good!

darryljames thinks anyone who thinks MKG is > Barnes is fricking stupid.

At least someone agrees with me, Barnes is way better MKG. It's not even close IMO.

So just bc you get beat one on one doesn't mean your the better player...I think MKG is more physical and aid more mature so yes he probably will get the better of Barnes in camps and college but just bc MKG defense is more well rounded right now, Barnes can get tougher but can MkG develop a shot? I don't think so. Can he get by driving and putting up tip backs with out anthony Davis? I don't see it
I think they are close right now but going forward I think Barnes has more to work with at the next level....Younan not teach someone to shoot and MKG just flat out cant shoot IMO

That's ridiculous, just look at the stats and that will tell you that's not true. You don't average 17+ a game by falling asleep on the court.

Lol well you have a point, I don't see him sliding, but Barnes could slide to 6 or 7 and I would find a way to go get him.

This. MKG is known to have a VERY good work ethic. Compound that with his good ball skills and great athleticism and I believe he could be really special. Plus he is the youngest player in the draft

Thank you, if he sleep walks and gets 17 a game well damn that just proves the point...since an you imagine when he turns it all the way on

yes you can. Fundamentals, hard work, time in the gym. You can most certainly teach someone to shoot.

I'd take Barnes, but think MKG has the bigger ceiling (also has the bigger bust potential).
