Bought these "ghost chili" plants from Naylors a few months back. This is not a ghost chili. It could be a habenero but I'm not sure. Anyone have any idea?

They are jolokias. They just haven't fully ripened.

ETA: I only glanced at the picture. I was wrong, it appears.

I don't know but all 3, the scotch bonnet mentioned in the first post, are hot as hell.

I love spicy food. LOVE it. I got some hot sauce with habanero in it and it was so freaking hot. I only used it when I was hammered, figured my mouth was numb and it was still burning hot.

I know, :csb:

It looks like a habanero. Although they mature with a very orange color, looking at the pepper in the background, a bright red color, it could be scotch bonnet.

Have a bunch of milk handy in case it gets too hot!

Thanks for the offer, but I've got 20 seeds I bought a few months back. I didn't use them because when I went to Naylor's they had the plants, or so I thought. I dropped 5 of the seeds in some starter just in case the plants I have aren't as advertised.

Yeah, not ghost. Leaves even look like a habanero. That is apparently a common problem with ghost pepper seeds. Lots of people on gardening forums have bought ghost peppers only to find out they were some habanero mix. It's unfortunate for Naylor's. I'm sure it wasn't intentional, but it may be worth mentioning to them if you're ever back in there.

I have zero doubt that they were unaware. Good people over there.

Yeah, I'm going to let them know. It's right by the bar so I'll drop in this week.

I would say habanero except that comparing the pepper to the size of the leaves they seem a bit large for habaneros. Of course, the pic can be misleading. How big are these peppers?

About 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" diameter and the biggest is about 2" to 2-1/4" long.

Not mine. The oldest turtle from Galapagos. My daughter loves turtles and she is very depressed because the extreme heat has caused them to stop sunbathing on the dock ramp where she loves to sneak up and attack them.
She's been taking out her frustrations on the sofa cushions which she rapes every day. I have to pick up the mess.

Yes and I'm getting sick and tired of putting the furniture back in place. Even our Vet hates her.

It took me a little while to realize you were talking about one of your doggie children. That's one agressive female you have there.
