Scott Pagano is headed to the Rivals 100 Five Star Challenge. The article on Rivals indicates he has over 40 FBS offers, but listed LSU and Florida as his top choices.

quote:

"I'm just very, very excited," said Pagano, an undecided four-star recruit who lists LSU and Florida as his top schools. "I can't wait to get out there."

I don't know if this is premium or not, but here it is: LINK

It'll be interesting to see the updated evaluation of Pagano following the Five Star Challenge this weekend.

Well I hope he's not playing games like so many of these stupid attention whore kids lately. I'll take a 50/50 shot.

something makes me think UF really has the upper hand.

Gino attributed this to horses.

Ocala, Fl, located about 30 mins outside of Gainesville is reportedly "the horse capital of the world," or so I've read.

At this point, I can't imagine why someone from Hawaii would pick Florida over LSU if it comes down to the two. With LSU needing to reload in the D-line, we should be a real attraction to someone like Pagano. On the other hand, anyone from Hawaii with that many offers is going to be a long shot! If he chooses LSU, that will be as big as getting Rettig out of California. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

I missed this one! What is the deal? Is Pagano a horse lover? Maybe he wants to moonlight as a jockey.

If he needs a horse, I may buy him one! Oops, that sounds like an NCAA violation!

Scott Pagano, is another intriguing prospect that is high on the LSU radar. Some folks may worry that Alabama offering may pose another serious threat in his recruitment. We have reason to believe, the Pagano race will continue to be a two horse race between Florida, and LSU. An interesting component in the Pagano recruitment, is that his mom plans to move from Hawaii to be close to her son in following his career. Speaking of horse races, some have felt that Florida had the lead in Pagano's recruitment, and one of our sources have confirmed that the family owns a horse. That horse will have to make the move from Hawaii to whichever school Pagano chooses. With Ocala, Florida being the horse capital of the world, and only thirty minutes from Gainesville-this is one reason Florida has appealed to the Pagano family.

Given the current level and trajectory of each program I like LSU's chances as well.

STFU! You are a grown man calling out high school kids?! If you don't like it, than invest your time and interest in pro sports.

Wow, that's a first in recruiting! On the other hand, LSU is a University & A&M College. Surely we can find a horse barn on campus.

I never heard that Ocala is the horse capital of the world. Is that legit? What about Lexington, KY? What about Lafayette, LA? What about Shreveport? Heck, there are horse farms all over LA.

Oh, Oh! Well he could be right between Evangelin Downs in Lafayette and Jefferson Downs in New Orleans if he comes here.

Believe it or not, it is legit. I googled it. Ocala is the first link that comes up.
