Would you be okay with Hanover high fiving an opponent who just jacked a grand slam to beat us as he rounded the bases?
Classy can only come from the fans giving the opposing team hjs.

it amazes me how much it bothers some people.
Drama queens who wear their feelings on their sleeves. Blows me away how annoyed some people are about this.

The self-imposed "Stony Brook Line" drawn by you is not necessarily going to be the same as the person sitting next to you.
Who said the lines were the same? Im just stating my opinion. It carries no more weight than yours.
Calling for a victory lap is pretty extreme in congratulating a team for just beating the shite out of you on your own field though.

Congratulations. You figured it out. And oh yeah- go Seawolves.

I wonder how our players and coaches felt about "the Lap"

You don't see how that is insulting to our players.

Most players congratulate each other on amazing plays or all-around great play, actually.
As he rounds the bases? No, of course. Don't be indignant. But after the game at some point? Yeah, probably. If you have played sports, you'd know this already.
LSU has 6 national championships and some people are so upset that our fans congratulated the players of a program that has never been to Omaha.

Uh no. They did much more than that.
Having the team do a victory lap and giving them high fives is more than congratulating them. That's just Assinine.

That is quite concerning.....I wonder who they are going to root for when SB goes 2 and q.....maybe an SEC team so we can get a little revenue sharing

No way man. SB is going all the way

Why is that do you think?

I realize the extent of the congratulations; it's still "congratulations" no matter how you slice it.
If you want to stay upset at what happened, go for it. We're not going to agree and that's fine; it's what makes the world go 'round. I can't help but get the feeling most of this anti-celebration sentiment comes from the sheer-disappointment of what happened on the field than what transpired afterward.
Anyways, to each his own.
ETA: For the record, as I told Lester, I can understand your position. If this were pretty much any other team, I'd fully agree with you. But because it's a "Cinderella," then I think it's much less insulting, if at all, to anyone with ties to LSU. That's all.

maybe he doesn't want to figuratively spit in his pitchers face

An article like this reflects more favorable light on LSU than a year's worth of Love Purple Live Gold ads.
