Should LSU offer sophomore Dalton Herrington of LSU Eunice a spot? He's an outfielder with 350 BA, 10 HRs, and 48 of 50 stolen bases. He did strike out 43 times but he hit into 0 double plays. We've had success with LSUE players and outfield is a place of need.

I am not and have no relation to Dalton.

I think he's already signed with ULM.

Well, I like the speed and NO double plays. Both were major issues.

He's probably more athletic than what we got in the outfield now.

Sign him up then after next year sign my cousin Rivers Frederick who can absolutely fly and has a cannon for an arm in rf. Serious as a heart attack.

LSU-E doesn't really have any SEC caliber players his year, as someone else said this guy is headed to ULM. I think their catcher is going to Ole Miss but he didn't really have much of a eye popping year you expect SEC caliber players to have at the lowest JUCO level.

Mr. Herrington, I'm sure your son is a great player and great kid. I'm just not sure he has what it takes to succeed at LSU. Good luck to your family.

I would assume that if this was Dalton's father, he would have known that his son already signed with ULM.

But congrats on perpetrating one of the lamest TD themes ever.

Kid is a better outfielder than anyone on LSU's roster. PM took Fields over him last yr and slow played him last fall, so he signed with ULM. So PM went with the Delgado kid, who is just as good, if not better outfielder and hits for a better avg, but with less pop.

Just wait till Javi gets a hold of him. He'll be up there swinging for the fences at chin high fastballs.

recruiting for baseball is a crap shoot. at least 10 kids on the team do not have athletic schlorships. we try to get the louisiana kids to take tops & offer the out of state kids the athletic. we made some mistakes - big - time this year. yokum, fields & and one of the pitchers were a mistake, plus baranik. some of the freshmen, moore, sciambra, nola, foster, look like keepers, & time will tell with the others.
