Eric Gordon: New Orleans a "pretty good" city

INDIANAPOLIS -- Eric Gordon's hometown fans may want him back in Indianapolis.
It doesn't mean the shooting guard will be switching teams next season.
During a break at Saturday's annual Indiana-Kentucky boys All-Star game in Indianapolis, Gordon told The Associated Press that he would like his next NBA city to be a long-term destination -- even if he winds up staying in New Orleans.
"I do like New Orleans," he said. "It's a pretty good city with good fans and it's a good organization."
Gordon's comments are a contrast to the conventional wisdom that he didn't like playing in the Crescent City, rumors coach Monty Williams attempted to put to rest in February when he told reporters it was "way off base."

New Orleans has a good personality and seems like it's really sweet, but I'm just not physically attracted to it.

Indy is a very nice city. It will be tough if we have to compete with Indy for Gordon

if he wants to go play for his town, im happy because Indy is not a big market and he didn't make this shitty excuse that NoLa isn't big enough

Its all good EG. You leave and we bring in CP3 next year. It's all part of the master plan...

To all the amateur psychologists and mind readers, gordon's comments were fine w me and not a slight against n.o. at all. He'll be happy to sign here for a solid long term deal.

Pretty sure Bird already came out and said that EG10 would not be a target of theirs. Not because of his talent level but because the owner refuses to go after RFA.
Anyways it's not this offseason I'm worried about for EG. It's his next chance at FA when he's an UFA. He'll be 27-28 at the time and Davis will be 4 years into his professional career

Him leaving NOLA wasn't the message I got. I think he just wants a good deal with good money. I don't think he really cares where it is. With a brighter future ahead of them, the Hornets don't seem like a bad team to play for.

You, sir, are correct.

"Conventional wisdom" proves to be right about 50% of the time . . . on a good day.

The guy doesn't like the city and it's obvious.
... but if it helps you make it through your bowl of cheerios we'll just say he loves nola for the sake of keeping the sunshine pumping

Give me one objective piece of evidence. Just one. Go. You're on the clock.
