Fight Club screenwriter Jim Uhls has signed on. Trent Reznor's forthcoming HBO mini-series based on the 2007 Nine Inch Nails album of the same name. No details about the project have come out, but hopefully this means the show is getting closer to the production stage.

I found this more interesting from your link:
The Coen Bros. Plan Greenwich Village Folk Scene Flick
Ethan and Joel Coen are developing a script for a new movie loosely based on the life of Dave van Ronk, a central figure in the Greenwich Village folk scene of the Fifties and Sixties.
Hmm?

If he wanted to do something that actually wouldn't suck, he'd do a movie based on The Downward Spiral.

The Downward Spiral was one of his weakest albums. Year Zero, on the other hand, was fantastic.

This is what I meant to post.

TDS is a integral album of the 90's and of all-time in music history.
Cmon.
March of the Pigs, Heresy, Ruiner, Becoming, Hurt (not to mention all the B-Sides: Dead Souls, Burn, Memorability)
But Year Zero is an amazing album in it's own.
Both are concept albums.
Both are amazing.

The Fragile, to me, is his masterpiece.

So what will the miniseries be about?

The Fragile no doubt is one of the best albums ever (I own it on Vinyl, 3 fricking vinyls) and highly an underrrated album, but sometimes I feel a disconnect in the music.
Then I read not long ago about how he was so fricked up on drugs and suicidal that he couldn't finish mixing it so he brought in other producers, etc to do the final mix down (Dr. Dre, Even Deeper, etc) and it makes sense.
Still my favorite album all-time though. I remember buying it at CD Warehouse with my mom in 1999 and putting the CD in the car stereo on the way home and hearing "Broken Bruised Forgotton Sore, Too frickED UP to care anymore" and after hearing that entire song and then medley into TDTWWW, my mother and I were amazed at the overall sound and production of the album. I spent 2 years straight blaring it and the Things Falling Apart album while experimenting with various substances (1999 happened to be the year I turned 16) and missing the Fragility tour with APC opening is one thing I'll never forgive my mom about.
