In yall's opinion, How far would he have to drop to consider coming to LSU? Out of first round maybe?

I'm no expert on this stuff and don't pretend to be but I've heard that unless he completely bottoms out, he's not going to make it to LSU. Doubt he gets out of round 2. We can hope.

pretty obvious that's not gonna happen. It would also be interesting to see who drafts him and what their salary cap situation looks like. I'd assume he's gonna be looking for big time money (as he's one of the premier power hitters in the draft)

Round is extremely important under new CBA because it dictates the slot money and the (very punitive) penalties if you go over that slot number.

The days of paying a 6th round pick a few million are mostly over. It's a staggered penalty, too, meaning the higher you are over the suggested slot, the more punitive the penalty is.

The farther he drops, the better chance he's at LSU in the Fall.

Like Lester said, rounds don't matter, money does.

With new CBA, it'll be hard for him to get first round money with teams having limited money to spend. He'll either have to take less money and sign or wind up at LSU.

He's going to sign. Texas' other two picks are high upside, but under slot and will be done very soon (agreements are already in place), which will free up money to sign Gallo. Plus, the Rangers scouting director was interviewed tonight and guaranteed they'd sign their picks. He ain't going to LSU...

But this is exactly why round does matter. They really can't offer 1st round money out of slot anymore.

ETA: It would take him really wanting to be a Tiger not to go pro. The chances of improving his draft status is very slim. He wouldn't have a whole lot to gain financially not going pro and trying to improve his stock, but would have potentially a lot to lose.
