I took the smoked sausage from yesterday's rib smoke and made shell pasta.
For the third day in a row I bought a red apple from Albertsons that was perfect looking from the outside but rotten when I cut it. This is starting to piss me off.

Wife has a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs brewing. It consists of fresh creole tomatoes from the FIL's garden. It will be ready around 7:30 ish. We've been munching on hog head cheese topped with apple cider vinegar and captain's wafers crackers.

I had my daily Mickey Brown burrito at 10 am today.

Shrimp creole, Besh's recipe. I made it this time last year when I had some big fat heirlooms. Hopefully this one will turn out as good. Goblets of the ole lady's vino and rat cheese for apps.

Chicken fajitas, with sautéed peppers and onions, guacamole and sour cream.

Served with black beans and Mexican rice.

Lots of beer, baseball, and basketball

Grilling a few nice strips, sweet corn on the cob, Sister Shubert's rolls and a bottle or two of 2010 Alamos Malbec.

Had The Little Donkey, a new semi-upscale Mexican joint in Birmingham. Tried the guacamole, beef and habanero tamale, al pastor taco, and a grouper taco. Everything was excellent and I will be back.
Afterwards, we walked next door to steel city pops ("craft" popcicles). I tried a pineapple jalapeño bar and a raspberry lemon bar. Everything was made with fresh local ingredients. They were pretty damn delicious. Better than a snoball
Overall, a very good meal. Bravo birmigham

I made Rjone and I a dinner you'd eat as a toddler

Baked chicken tenderloins (marinated with a grill mates pack), kraft mac and cheese, green peas. LOL. Innovative meal right there ;)
