That won't make lax relevant in the south

The penalty was for cross checking a guy in the back, if its the one I'm thinking about. And that's your takeaway from a 10-9 game that came down to the final possession?

I can see why Lacrosse is big on the east coast. It is like a hybrid of football and hockey, and they are good at neither.

No, earlier. They called a bs penalty and the Denver coach didn't get any more upset than any CFB coach after a blown call; but the lax's coach actions caused a second penalty. Denver was down 2 for a minute.

It is virtually never called. You're much more likely to see a technical called on a coach in bball than a penalty on a coach in lax.

So it's called on a close call in a tight game in a NCAA tournament? Heck, saban has been more angry after a bama td

I have no clue what exactly was said, how many times he said something, if he was warned, etc. I'm just telling you, I've seen coaches get away with a lot on the lacrosse field before. More than baseball and basketball coaches (and in baseball's case, they actually get thrown out). Football does have the most free reign, yes, but lacrosse coaches can yell a lot of things.

Lacrosse could put snipers in the stands to take players out and it still wouldn't be relevant

Baseball managers have way more free reign than football. Whens the last time a football coach ran to the 50 yard line, threw his hat on the ground, got in the refs face and didn't get thrown out. Happens all the time in baseball.

To who? I've lived here all my life and I've never heard of a lacrosse league outside of college, but they have teams for almost any sport you can think of. It might be relevant to you if you run in those circles, but to the average citizen its not as relevant as football, baseball, basketball, soccer, tennis, golf, swimming, or track. You'd have to go pretty far down the relevancy list to find lacrosse.

They have over 16 teams and growing in Louisiana,Texas and Alabama have far more. Lsu and Ull have good mcla teams. Lsu made the playoffs and Centinary has an actual team. It may not be bigger than football or baseball but it is deff growing. Once people catch on to sport it will go crazy in the south

That's the biggest inhibiting factor in lacrosse's growth. All but one of those schools are private. Lacrosse is still seen as an elitest rich white sport. It doesn't help that equipment is expensive and generally harder to find than most team sports.

Also what helps is the younger kids are starting to play there is a U15 U13 and they are trying to start a U11 league. Texas has kids as young as 6 playing lacrosse. Texas is far leagues ahead of Louisiana in terms of talent, but if the kids in LA start young the talent will get better.

I wasn't really going to respond, but I guess since the thread got bumped...

In that sense, you're right, but a coach in football can say virtually anything he wants to an official and act out on the sideline in any way and NOTHING happens. A baseball manager that says "the magic word" or argues for too long and he is THROWN OUT.
