| Shipping out smoked meats (Posted on 5/15/12 at 9:23 am)
Anyone have experience with shipping out smoked meats? Looking for a smoked meat specialty store that would have ham hocks and can ship out.. Ideas?

That's the place. Dude I talked to on the phone was super nice. Received my first order from Don's last week. Very easy, with no problems. Good luck.

I've ordered from Poche's and my experience was great. Shipping is included in the price, but you have to order 10 lbs.behich isn't too hard. LINK /

Jacob's did have em. Only problem is, it's $40 to ship.. Smoked meats don't need to be put on dry ice, so I think I'm going to buy em, pack, seal and ship myself. Thanks for all the good tips. We're cooking in Manhattan: crawfish etouffee, jambalaya, creole white beans, collard greens and mexican corn bread for a group of New York City lawyers.. They're about to get happy.

i only used Jacob's once, and that is why i never ordered from them again. if i remember correctly, their shipping charge was twice that of anyone else i've ordered from.
