I'm debating it. I'm not big on PC games but I really enjoyed Diablo 2 twelve years ago.
At least I know the makers didnt rush this release,

My roommate is buying my copy. Never played one before this beta and he really wanted metio play this with him. So I let him buy it. 
I will be buying Borderlands 2 for him, so I guess it evens out.

I have been waiting for this game since killing Baal back in middle school. Unfortunately I'll only get to play it for a few days next week because of graduation, partying, and hangout fest.

I hope you are joking. This game is as far from rushed as any game ever.
Not only because of the time between D2 and D3, but because Blizzard has delayed D3 about 25 times to make changes to every little detail from graphics to PvP to game mechanics.
I doubt any other game in gaming history has went through so many delays and changes that Diablo 3 has.
People were so pissed at Blizzard from all the delays they finally just decided to release it without PvP instead of yet another delay to perfect another aspect of the game.
I commend Blizzard for wanting to put out a top quality game in every aspect.

You didnt specify that the cause of delays was significant just the amount and length of delays
