Brees contract talk?

Is there anything new? We get nothing here but Texans news of course. Any local news that we are not getting access to?
If Brees ends up walking after a year I would feel like Aaron Brooks had been re-signed.

Not to be a dick, but if Brees even hinted that negotiations were going well, we'd be talking about it. All is silent man.

What is the fan response if a deal is not done. I for one cannot fathom it not happening. But....????

It has been eerily quiet around here the last couple days regarding brees' contract talks. I'm hoping it's done now but they're waiting for player suspensions to come out so they can cancel out bad news with good.

I really kind of think the saints are waiting out the player penalties and then have the full intentions of wrapping brees up thereafter.
