I'm saying top 15

His playmaking ability says 1st round, but he will be extremely lucky if he is taken in the 2nd round. Probably middle of the 3rd.

His ability to force fumbles in college will not translate to the NFL.

All that is left is a mediocre corner.

First round?

He had a great 2011, but he was also a giant unknown and if you actually watch the season again once teams marked him he didn't deliver much ( outside of special teams) on the back end of the season.

This season will be his biggest test and as much as I'd love to see him crush it, I just don't think he will have another year like last year.

Special teams player for sure... but as far as draft goes, maybe 4th round if really lucky if at all.

The real question should be does Brad Wing go in Top 5 or only Top 10?

really? he forced 2 fumbles vs Arkansas and recovered one of them. I'm pretty sure the Ark game was toward the end of the year.

most didnt think he could follow up the production on his freshman season.

Where would he play on an NFL defense and who would want him as a first round pick? Stranger picks have happened and there is always Miami or the Jets to do something crazy, but he is no Mo and the combine wont be great for him.

Maybe since this is my first year at LSU i'm not as attached to him as you are, I just don't see it.

He wont be able to force fumbles in the NFL, and pretty soon there wont be Special Teams plays.

Why would you draft matheiu in the first round?

11 on this one

#7 in this one

Can't find the one I saw last week, it was more credible then either of these. I was surprised to see him talked about this early as well.

Second one is a blog site so we can disregard that just like Bleacher Report. Walter football is surprising, still don't think first two rounds as his size will hinder him. He isn't 5'9" 190 like some have said in this thread and others.

So, you've measured him?

wiki has him listed at 5'9" 175lbs.

I don't think any site is going to be completely candid on TM7 precise size.

But come on man, you can give it up on knocking TM7's NFL potential.

He will have to get better in coverage. He's small for bump and run, and if a guy gets behind him his size really works against him.

What he has going for him is his superaggressive style, and his returner abilities. You really will have a hard time justifying 1st round, if he plays like the 2nd half of last season.

If he has a year like the first half of last season, he may go middle to late first round. And how others do next year will also have an impact. But someone will WANT this guy on their team and my guess is that at some point, his pick will be a trade-up.

I'm gonna say if Stephon Gilmore can go Top 10, Mathieu does too.

I've talked to him recently face to face and I am 5'9" and was taller so no I haven't measured him but I've seen him. And no way is he heavier than me even if he has 5% body fat

gilmore has prototypical size and speed, along with great coverage that he displayed in college

TM7 has basically none of these (but has another year to work on coverage)

TM7 doenst have good speed?

the myth that TM7 is bad in coverage blows my mind.

gilmore is about 6' tall though. He's got the size you want and is still physical and makes alot of plays.

I just googled projected 2013 NFL draft and that is what came up. I forget what I was looking at last week that had him like #9, but it was a respected source as well.

do you think he's going to run under a 4.45? even on his returns, he doesn't look that fast (like chad jones and da clay pidgeon)

he's not close to a lock down player

TM7's contributions have mostly come on special teams or blitzing as a nickel back off the edge. after this he strips the ball in piles.

gilmore is over 6-0, 190, and ran a 4.40. like i said: prototypical
