Sadly no. Veronica and Jimmy closed up shop a while back, probably around a year ago. In the final months she was open she handed all of her loyal patrons business cards imploring to call her for any catering needs, but she opted out of the restaurant business.

She gave me her card the final week and told me she would cook a mess of ribs and potato salad if I called her.

I need to give her a call.. miss that place..

Since she went out of her way to put out a buffet with very low dining traffic I never felt comfortable ordering much food over and above from the menu, although I did branch out in the final months. The oxtail was superb...I'll never forget the deep, rich, enchanting sauce that accompanied it. Other posters here were advocates of her wings, so I tried them in the final weeks and they were incredible.

I was in Downtown Tampa recently and there's this place called the Jerk Hut which was awesome. Unlike Ronnie's poor location, they were smack in the middle of a big city downtown lunchtime feeding frenzy, and were selling lunches as fast as they could plate em up. Ronnie deserved better.

Easily my favorite item there and perhaps my favorite chicken curry of all time.

She could probably be very successful with a kick-arse food truck, in BR-NO

It would have been good for business in my opinion for Ronnie's Ribs to not be out of ribs right at lunch time. That was the only time we attempted to try eating at R-Ribs.
