Is it that hard to start a franchise 80 miles from the original?

I LOVE THAT PLACE!

I asked myself that same question last week when I passed one.

It is so much better than most of the burger joints in Baton Rouge.

I never could figure out why they closed. It may have had to do with the out-of-the-way location and the fact that they didn't do any advertising. You had to know it was there because you could hardly see it from Florida Blvd. RIP.

Was it in that strip center that was in front of the old Fun Fair Park?

Baton Rouge bars close too early. Bud's easily makes the CCC Top Ten List™ for places to eat after 2 am.

The Bud's in LaPlace didn't last long, neither did the one in Destrehan.

I was crushed when they closed. I was in the LaPlace location the night they opened. Couldn't wait to get me some Bud's!

When I was at LSU in 05-08, a friend and I strongly considered opening one in that new strip mall on Brightside across from "the blocks." it was a cheap franchise fee but the owner would not deliver to BR and required the us to have a refrigerated truck for our own pickups. His percentage was also high.

The only thing good about this place is that they are open 24/7. Anyone who says they have good quality burgers is just a damn liar.

That was 25 years ago, there was no Mall of LA, the location was not that bad for the time, it was right in between both of the viable malls.. it was not far from Broadmoor, Sherwood Forest or Tara subdivisions..

Bud's is great when you are 9 years old or younger

that's why it fails everywhere but NOLA

our drinking and drugging down here keeps us mentally nine yrs old
