Does this mean that Paul could pick up some of the delegates previously committed to Newt?

A find it unlikely that some of Newt's bound delegates won't be Paul supporters. Maybe only a few, but he'll certainly pick some up.

re: Newt Gingrich likely to drop presidential bid Tuesday night

I posted recently that it made no sense for Gingrich to spend the bulk of his time in the 5 states voting tomorrow in the only winner-take-all state in the bunch - Delaware. He knows he has zero chance at winning there and thus will get no delegates. He might have been able to focus on a few favorable congressional districts in states where at least some of the delegates are chosen on that basis and at least won a few delegates on the day. He could actually be completely shut out tomorrow unless he picks up enough Santorum voters in PA.

He doesn't have enough delegates to cause even a ripple if he withdraws and releases them. He's starving for attention, and his frustration is mounting that fewer and fewer media people are aware he's still breathing, much less a factor in the nomination process.

I'm pretty sure his crowds are even smaller than his media presence.

He'll probably get some in RI. If he can't mount 15% there, I don't know why he's still running.

Has he gotten around to paying off the small businesses his campaign stole from yet?

I've never been given one half decent reason to vote for Romney. The only thing he runs on is opposition to the current POTUS. No principles, nothing. But yeah, that's not fricktarded....

gotta accept reality, bro'.

RP ... it ain't gonna happen.

But ... I must say, I admire the unwavering devotion of the Paulites.

At least it's based on his positions on weed and war and spending and liberty and what-not ... and not just because of his skin color and getting free stuff and going on talk shows as a cool guy.

Romney doesn't have the delegates yet. Now isn't the time to quit. There's still time to get rid of Romney.

Paul is still in this thing!

I didn't pay attention much to the results last night ... but, from what little that I did watch .. it was Romney alot ... everyone else, not much.

I can't wait for Romney and Obama to debate each other on healthcare and probably agree with each other.
