I wonder if Johnny had to buy $100k worth of Primerica insurance from the Temples like when Skip sold the baseball coaching job to Smoke.

If this message board carries any weight whatsoever, than Collis Temple Jr's already shady image has taken some more big hits...And I'm totally cool with that.

If that staff could bring in a guy like Tony Mitchell to North Texas then they must be pretty good on recruiting trail. Mitchell was one of the top recruits in nation and eventually will be a lottery pick so that's pretty impressive if you ask me. Just have to hope it translates to LSU now.

what happened to randy livingston? we made a big shite out of JJ coming back HOME. so what does he do but forget about the other HOME boys.

I semi-supported a JJ hire BUT there is no way that an almost entirely UNT staff should be coaching in the SEC.

What makes UNT's assistant coaches any less qualified than Jones?

please take a moment and look at the rivals ratings for 2013.

do a search for the state in rivals basketball for 2013. Tx. lots of Tx.

DFW is akin to Chicago. huge metro.

DFW has 10 times the population as N.O. N.O. is half of what it used to be before Katrina.

Lousiana is a not-so-much in basketball.

Annonymous comments/rants bout this or that carries weight with someone? Wouldn't PM and LM be gone already?

It's JJ's gig and I'll let him swim or sink with whoever he feels is best.

Welcome aboard Coach Forrest...now, get us some SEC or better players!

well as a whole they won one conference title in a dozen years. So obviously we don't want to break up that magic chemistry.

Because that stat right there pretty much sums up the strides he made at a once dormant program and seals his fate here.

Did you not listen to his press conference? He was courted for many jobs over the years. He declined a lot of interviews.

Thanks for trying though.

lol. I'm sure staying at North Texas for $200k a year was what he wanted to do for a dozen years.

If he leads LSU back to glory it'll be because of his recruiting. Hopefully it works out. I don't give a frick who is coaching them but watching them lose all the time gets old. Especially when kinghippo is my date to every game just kidding buddy

Do you realize how idiotic and baseless it is to rate a coach based on how many other job offers he's gotten...when on top of that you really have no idea how many offers he has gotten. Ever think he was holding out for this one?

Im not saying its doesnt have talent.

But if you get the right guy in LA, it would be much easier to pull guys from our own state.

a former coach at UNT is going to all of a sudden start pulling all the talented players from Dallas because he is at LSU now? Im skeptical, but we shall see.
