Isn't that why we hired Johnny Jones?

Ever think he was holding out for this one?

because moving to a better job within that 12 years would have ruled him out as an LSU candidate? Makes sense. He probably just likes living in podunk Texas, making less money, not winning very much, and nobody knowing who he is. And he bleeds purple and gold!!!!!!!!

Do you have like an 8th grade education? He likely wasn't getting job offers over his first 6 seasons or so. That means he only had a few seasons to start turning down jobs. At that point, he kids were still in like junior high, he was really starting to build something there, and he saw the mess that was LSU basketball.

All of those are reasons to hold out. NOT A HARD CONCEPT.

Uh, pretty sure that's why we hired Johnny Jones himself. Jones' job is to get these home state guys to stay home, meanwhile Jones hired some assets to recruit TX where they were successful before. Makes sense to me.

a former coach at UNT is going to all of a sudden start pulling all the talented players from Dallas because he is at LSU now? Im skeptical, but we shall see.

They were pulling good recruits to UNT lately. Their freshman class this last year...

- Tony Mitchell obviously was a huge one
- Chris Jones had offers from Colorado, Houston, New Mexico, TCU and about 10 or so others including a few MVC teams
- Trey Norris had a Minnesota offer and about 7-8 other offers
- Forrest Robinson had offers from Arkansas, Houston, Iowa state, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, USC, Utah and a few others
- Jordan Williams had offers from Arizona State, Arkansas, Baylor, Fresno State, UGA, Houston, KSU, Marquette, OK St, Oregon, So Miss, Texas Tech and some mids

Obviously they did a REALLY great job recruiting all that Dallas-FW area talent, and that was from 1 year.

This trio did a good job of recruiting for UNT. Give them a name like LSU and some underdog players here and there mixed in with kids who work hard no matter what, and in three years this program can be back in deep contention every season.

Isn't that the same as was said about TJ about three years ago.

They apparently forget that you never even give a second thought to who the assistants are after about a month after they are hired. Then it's all about the head coach.

TJ was recruiting kids out of Cali with 4.2 GPA's. Jones has experience recruiting the type of athletes that LSU needs and our region produces.

Not really if anything LSU hired an assistant coach in Jones as a head coach. Brings nothing to the table other than being at LSU before. This program is gonna sink faster than the titanic. You thought it was bad with TJ? You haven't seen shite yet.

JJ was Jefferson and people got sick of all the post on JJ.

You can post anything you want on the rant, but letting you know a lot of people would prefer CJJ....Thanx
