I am in need of some help for a class of mine. I am looking for a movie/song/tv show/ anything that I can relate to two certain poems.
The poems are about not accepting reality and instead living in a certain way as if something or someone was still there. An example would be a man still living everyday like his wife was still alive, though she's been dead for some time.
I know there are things like this out there and I've seen them before but I can't think of them right now. I've thought of Shutter Island but looking for more examples, thanks in advance for any help.

Friday the 13th, Part II.
Jason just never could get over the fact that his mommy was dead.

I'm writing the paper and analyzing the works, I am just blanking out completely. Haven't seen Reign Over Me, but Inception and Sixth Sense are good suggestions, thank you.
As was Friday the 13th part II

There's that new NBC(?) show Awake about the dude who doesn't know which life is real, the one with his wife or his kid. I haven't seen a single episode of the show but that's what the premise appears to be.

Part II, my friend.
That's the one with Jason's mother's head prominently displayed.
Oh the symbolism!
